Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Impala- Video

Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Impala

Today on our 2014 Chevy Impala, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Q Towers Roof Rack System using the 58 inch load bars. We'll be using part numbers Y00409, Y00723, Y00732 and Y00124. With everything assembled according to included instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front cross bar onto the front of our roof. Now we'll need to measure nine inches from the leading edge of the glass to the leading edge of our Q Tower. We'll need to make this measurement on both the passenger and driver's side of the vehicle. Making this measurement on both sides will ensure the front crossbar is perpendicular to the roof of our Impala. Once we have the bar in position, we'll tighten down the silver thumb screw on the inside of the tower and clamp down the black plastic covers. Clamping down the cover is going to bring the clip up tightly against the roof line. more
